                               RESOLUTION NO. 19600
                  
                  
                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TEMPORARY
                   CLOSURE OF VARIOUS STREETS IN THE DOWNTOWN
                   AREA MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN ON
                   SATURDAY, OCTOBER 3, 1992 FROM 8:30 A.M. TO
                   11:30 A.M. FOR THE "AMERICAN HEART
                   ASSOCIATION WALK" SPONSORED BY THE AMERICAN
                   HEART ASSOCIATION UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS.
                  
                                                    
                  
                  
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby authorized 
the
       temporary closing of the westbound curblane of M.L. King 
Boulevard
       between Gateway Avenue and Riverfront Parkway, the northbound
       curblane of Riverfront Parkway between M.L. King Boulevard and
       Main Street, the westbound curblane of Main Street between
       Riverfront Parkway and Carter Street, the southbound curblane of
       Carter Street between Main Street and M.L. King Boulevard, the
       southbound curblane of Chestnut Street between M.L. King 
Boulevard
       and Riverside Drive, the northbound curblane of Riverside Drive
       between Chestnut Street and M.L. King Boulevard on Saturday,
       October 3, 1992 from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 .m. for the "Heart
       Association Walk" under the sponsorship of the American Heart
       Association provided that the sponsor shall set out barricades 
and
       warning signs in accordance with the traffic control plan 
attached
       hereto and shall provide, at all times, an access lane for
       emergency vehicles.
